SolarShell is a Glass Reinforced Plastic laminate that cures to a hard, impenetrable shell when exposed to UV rays. When uncured, soft SolarShell sheets or patches are easy to cut to any shape or size with standard knives or scissors. SolarShell bonds with a large range of substrates and conforms to any shape, making it ideal for a variety of industrial and repair applications.
Product Specifications
SolarShell contains high grade Vinylester and Polyester resins, fillers and glass reinforcements. The opaque, gray laminate cures to an impact resistant, hard surface with high tensile and flexural strength. SolarShell is Class A fire rated and resistant to the effects of weather, water and a variety of chemicals.
Applications
SolarShell bonds with steel, concrete, insulation glass, wood, GRP, or FRP. Pre-application preparation for SolarShell varies depending on the surface texture and some applications require a primer. Once fully cured, the laminate can be over coated using compatible paint systems.
